Objectives
This course is part of a global research capacity building initiative, aimed at young researchers. Based on the prior success of the course, it is being held for the 5th time in 2018.
Its main objective, is to provide theoretical knowledge and practical training in qualitative research methods.
It is also an opportunity to build connections with fellow academics hailing from varied fields of study as well as those who pursue different research interests.
The course was conducted previously in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016, each time hosting more than 25 participants.
On previous occasions the participants included medical & allied health professionals, members of NGOs and researchers from other areas of health and social care.
Who is this for?
The workshop is tailored for those interested in refining their theoretical knowledge and practical training in conducting qualitative research in the field of health and social care.
Individuals interested in qualitative research from other disciplines (Anthropology, International Relations, Biology, Psychology, Law, Education et cetera), are also encouraged to attend the workshop.
The workshop fosters a multidisciplinary research environment, thus through shared experience, it will further the multidisciplinary research skills of those who attend.
