Minister for Science, Technology & Research visits Our Institute

The Honourable Susil Premajayantha (Minister of Science, Technology and Research) made an official visit to the Institute for Research & Development in Health & Social Care on the 1st of December 2016.

The minister highly appreciated the research studies, policy work, capacity development and school based research programs conducted by the institute.

Executive committee members from the institute, Prof. Athula Sumathipala, Dr. Nihal Abeysinghe, Dr. Godwin Kodituwakku, and Dr. Sudath Samaraweera, had extensive discussions with the minister regarding, future research and development opportunities in Sri Lanka, sustainability of school based education programs, and the importance of creating a research culture in Sri Lanka.
