We are pleased to announce the beginning of the TRANSLATE Training Workshop taking place on 2 and 3 December in Galle, Sri Lanka. This two day programme is designed to strengthen the capacity of psychiatrists and mental health professionals in the early detection and management of First Episode Psychosis. The workshop focuses on evidence based strategies, practical skills, and real world application as outlined in the official agenda .
We are especially honored to welcome Prof Saeed Farooq and Dr Amir Aziz, who are travelling all the way from Pakistan to support this initiative. Their expertise in Early Intervention in Psychosis, at risk mental states, assessment tools such as CAARMS, CBT for early psychosis, and pharmacological and non pharmacological management will be central to the workshop sessions. Their commitment to improving mental health services across the region is deeply appreciated.
This workshop represents an important step in bridging the gap between research and clinical practice in Sri Lanka. We look forward to two days of no collaborative learning, skill building, and meaningful discussion with mental health professionals from across the country.
