From 17–19 June 2026, Prof. Athula Sumathipala visited Keele University, reconnecting with academic leaders, researchers, clinicians, and Sri Lankan colleagues working in the UK.
The visit included meetings with the University’s senior leadership, discussions on research, education, and international collaboration, and a visit to the teaching hospital where Sri Lankan post-MD Administration doctors receive their training.
The visit further strengthened the long standing partnership between Sri Lanka and Keele University, creating new opportunities for collaboration in research, medical education, and global health.
