TRANSLATE Project – Stakeholder Engagement & Consensus Building Workshop
On 31st July 2025, the Institute for Research and Development in Health and Social Care (IRD), in collaboration with NIHR (UK) and Keele University, successfully held the Stakeholder Engagement & Consensus Building Workshop at Water’s Edge, Colombo as part of the TRANSLATE Project.
The workshop brought together policymakers, mental health professionals, researchers, and service users to co-develop a culturally adapted model for Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) in Sri Lanka. Key sessions included consensus-building discussions, a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Psychosis, and sharing findings from multi-country research conducted in Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
We thank all stakeholders for their valuable contributions toward shaping the future of mental health care for first-episode psychosis in Sri Lanka.
