The THRIVE Project held a meeting with Medical Officers of Health (MOHs) and health officials at the Regional Directorate of Health Services (RDHS), Galle, on 31 August 2026. The meeting welcomed Prof. Athula Sumathipala, who will lead the project in the Galle District.
The discussion provided an opportunity to introduce the THRIVE Project and its vision for strengthening community-based support for perinatal mental health, while highlighting the importance of working closely with local health services and stakeholders.
The meeting also brought together members of the health sector and the project team to build stronger collaboration as THRIVE moves forward in the Galle District. The RDHS Galle reaffirmed its support for the initiative and its upcoming activities.
