The Institute for Research and Development in Health and Social Care (IRD) was pleased to welcome Professor Antonius Raghubansie, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) and Professor of Digital Marketing and Global Engagement at Keele University, UK, to IRD on 8 September 2026.
During the visit, Professor Raghubansie engaged with the IRD team and learned more about the Institute’s ongoing research and international collaborations.
Dr. Oshini Sri Jayasinghe presented the THRIVE Project, highlighting its work to strengthen community-based approaches to maternal mental health and improve access to evidence-based care.
Dr. Risitha Wakishta Arachchi presented the TRANSLATE Project, which focuses on improving the early recognition and management of psychosis, reducing delays in accessing appropriate care, and developing community-focused approaches to early psychosis intervention.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity to explore areas of mutual interest and identify opportunities to further strengthen collaboration between IRD and Keele University. We look forward to building on these discussions and developing new avenues for partnership in research, education and knowledge exchange
